My name is Emma and I make pictures from buttons. I call my creations Button Dreams. We started out learning how to sew buttons on fabric. (My mom thought this would be a good skill for me to learn.) Then, we realized we had all these buttons left over, and we started thinking of ways to use them in artwork. The first year, I made Christmas pictures for our family. Then, we started seeing button art show up on Pinterest, and we printed out designs that I liked, and I started putting them together. I normally do my work on a wooden tray (8x8) and include a plastic stand with the picture. Recently, I participated in the Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas (DSCNWA) 5x5 art show, where I was one of the featured artists and appeared on the KNWA morning TV show. Those pictures had to be on a 5x5 canvas. So now, I have a few 8x8 canvases I am putting my button art on. I have also done a couple of door hangers, and I make gift tags and ornaments as well.
